Every year since 2016, our embassy joins other diplomatic missions of the member countries of la Francophonie to highlight the French language and the cultural diversity of the French-speaking world in Mexico through a series of activities that take place as part of la Nuit de la Poésie (Poetry Night) in Casa de Francia in Mexico City.
On March 12, 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m., we will celebrate the eleventh edition of La Nuit de la Poésie.
Don’t miss this special evening marking the Month of La Francophonie, where we will give voice to talented wordsmiths sharing their finest creations under this year’s theme: “Metamorphosis.”
The program will feature poetry readings, musical performances and talks by Francophone artists from Belgium, Canada, France, Haiti, Mexico and Switzerland, as well as an open-mic session for those who wish to take part.

Visiting us from New Brunswick and Quebec, Canada, artists Isabelle Cyr and Yves Marchand will delight audiences with a musical performance blending Acadian and Québécois cultures. An irresistible duo: two voices, two cultures… one shared music!
